The Waikiki Trolley - What is it?

Simply put, the Waikiki Trolley is a transportation service in Honolulu that runs from Waikiki to as far East as Sea Life Park and as far West as Bishop Museum. It has over 30 stops that are serviced by three lines, namely the Honolulu City Line (Red Line), The Ocean Coast Line (Blue Line), The Local Shopping & Dining Line (Yellow Line), and the Ala Moana Shopping Shuttle Line (Pink Line). It's like a bus or train system commonly found in major US cities.

So it's like a local bus transit, right?

Yes. But unlike a bus or a train transit system, the Waikiki Trolley takes you to most of Honolulu's most popular visitor attractions and activities directly, and that's what makes the Waikiki Trolley an appealing alternative. You don't have to waste as much time since it takes you to the places you want to visit.

Every line has a few trolleys that circulate around its predefined route, stopping at predefined stops. Although our lines sometimes stop at places that don't necessarily adhere to its theme (The Blue Line stops at Kahala Mall, for example), each line highlights a particular set of stops that makes it unique from the other lines. The Red Line (our historic line) for example, stops at The King Kamehameha Statue, Iolani Palace, Bishop Museum, Honolulu Academy of Arts, and Aloha Tower -- all historically significant locations around Honolulu.
