GREEN LINE: Founded in 1836 by order of King Kamehameha III, the Royal Hawaiian Band is one of the last living links to Hawaii’s monarchy. They are the only full-time municipal band in the United States with 40 full time positions.
The Royal Hawaiian Band performs and marches in over 300 concerts and parades each year. Weekly public performances are held on Sundays at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand at 2pm.
