President's Message

Twenty-one years ago, our company's founders were inspired to bring something unique to tourism in Hawaii. Focusing their thoughts on what all of Hawaii most freely gives to all in Hawaii, they knew it was the environment. There are not many places on planet earth where climate is so temperate, temperature so even; where breezes are truly breezes, and sunshine is gentle and beautiful. Hawaii's climate has created Hawaii's reputation, its glamour, its siren call. It is part of Hawaii's culture and its arts. It is reflected in the personality and appearance of its people. It speaks for Hawaii's warmth and hospitality. "What manmade contraption could use this to advantage to bring something unique and useful to Hawaii?" the founders asked themselves? And the Waikiki Trolley was born.

This inspiration has proven itself as Waikiki Trolley has become the local brand transportation in the tourist industry. Waikiki Trolley is not and never was a means-to-an-end transportation style. We are here to entertain you and inform you about a real Hawaii. This is why over six hundred thousand people annually get on and off our trolley, on and off thousands more times, as they ride about shopping, sightseeing and learning about Hawaii, and having great meals at a choice of restaurants.
